Tell Wal-Mart workers you support them

Yesterday's strike at Wal-Mart in SoCal.
Wal-Mart workers are rising up against poverty and exploitation all over the country. In the past few weeks, they've taken action in Southern California, Illinois, Dallas and New York.

Wal-Mart hopes it all dies down (you know, through threats, intimidation and lies to the news media). Working people hope for something different.

Show the Wal-Mart workers you support their struggle by signing a letter to the group representing them, Organization United for Respect at Wal-Mart (aka OUR Wal-Mart). The letter says,
Congratulations on your brave action! I support your calls for Walmart to stop its unlawful attempts to silence and intimidate workers for practicing their right to free speech.
I stand with you through your strike. The rights we hold dear in this country were bought by groups of people standing up for what's right. Walmart's treatment of its workers is bad for all Americans, and we stand with you in the fight for a more prosperous and just economy.
Our country works best when everyone shares in its prosperity, not when too much of the money is concentrated in too few hands.
Thank you for standing up and demanding fair treatment and an end illegal retaliation.
You can show solidarity for workers at Wal-mart by signing the letter here.

And here's a photo of a Chicago Wal-Mart manager receiving 100,000 signatures supporting the striking Wal-Mart workers:

Solidarity!
