Woo-hoo! Another Teamster organizing victory in Mass.

Please welcome our 270 new brothers and sisters who voted on Tuesday to join Local 25 in Boston. The margin of victory was more than 2-to-1.

They are attendants, cashiers and valets for Standard Parking in Greater Boston. They work at 42 locations throughout the area.

Mohamed Ibrahim is one of our new Teamster brothers. He said they worked hard on the campaign:
Our new Teamster brother.
We remained strong and united. We are very happy to be Teamsters and we look forward to negotiating a strong first contract with Standard Parking.
The workers want job security, respect, fair pay, full-time work and more vacation time.

Last February, 334 workers at Central Parking in the Boston area joined Local 25.

With this victory, Local 25 represents one-quarter of the parking industry in the area.
