Local 230 is one of the biggest construction locals in the area, and the new Teamsters bring membership in the ready-mix concrete industry to 800.
Randy Doner, president of Local 230, praised their support and determination to become Teamsters. He said,
It also goes to show that if we stick together, anything is achievable!Doner said the local will very soon get down to bargaining for the first collective bargaining agreement. And said he was grateful:
