URGENT: Red Cross needs 400 Teamster drivers tonight, tomorrow for Sandy relief

The call just went out: The Red Cross desperately needs 400 drivers tonight, tomorrow and Sunday to bring relief supplies to hurricane victims in the New York region.

Teamsters Joint Council 16 President George Miranda just sent out a memo:
The Red Cross is in URGENT need of help. This weekend there will be a huge push to get important supplies from Red Cross warehouses to the communities that have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Tonight they need 200 drivers at 6 pm to meet at five staging areas (below). They'll be picked up by bus and taken to Jersey City, where they will pick up 200 box trucks and deliver them to the staging areas. They can return home from the staging area.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning they need 200 drivers to report to the staging areas at 8 a.m.-5 pm, where they will be told where to drive the trucks to the various distribution sites.
