This is what we union thugs do on the weekend

We walk to raise money for suicide prevention.

Members of Local 728 in Atlanta walked 3.2 miles on Sunday afternoon to raise money for research and education about suicide. Brother Robert Cotton brought the members together for this community event.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention explains:
The 9th Annual Atlanta Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a 3.2 mile walk in Atlanta's Piedmont Park with proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).  The walk takes place within Piedmont Park at the 12th St. entrance and the Visitors Center.
By walking in this walk, you will join tens of thousands nationwide to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide and provide support for survivors of suicide loss.  In deciding to walk, you are taking us a step closer to making suicide a national priority.
And remember, "thugs" stands for "Those Helpful Union Guys and Gals."
