Still another reason to close the border to Mexican trucks: Murdered mayors

This youtube video is a few months old, but it tells a story that's still fresh: Mexico's mayors are being murdered. Since Jan. 1, 2010, 14 mayors have been shot or even stoned to death in Mexico. The mayor of Santiago was kidnapped and killed in August by the town's own police officers.

TeamsterNation questions how carefully those police officers were enforcing the town's traffic safety laws.

If you haven't been following this, the Department of Transportation wants to open the border to Mexican trucks with another pilot program. The Teamsters will fight like hell against the plan because it will undermine highway safety, American jobs and border security.
