Breaking: Paycheck deception veto upheld in Missouri

Great news from our brothers and sisters in Missouri: Gov. Jay Nixon's veto of SB 29, an anti-worker bill, was sustained today. It's a big win for workers.

Lawmakers in Jefferson City are holding a session today to override the governor's vetoes on a number of issues. Not enough lawmakers voted to overrule his veto of the paycheck deception measure that passed in March. It's a billionaire-backed bill to forbid employers from honoring employees' requests to deduct their union dues from their paychecks.

This isn't a partisan issue. Republicans joined Democrats in a 22-11 Senate vote.

Big props to all our brothers and sisters in Missouri who worked so hard to make sure this bill did not become law.
