Wisconsin Teamster contract creates jobs

Teamsters Local 200 members prepare to vote on the Roundy's contract.
Here's some good news from our Teamster brothers and sisters in Milwaukee, Wisc.:
Teamsters General Local Union No. 200 held a contract ratification vote for the drivers, warehouse and plant maintenance at the Oconomowoc Distribution Center for Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. this past Sunday, Dec. 15. Members overwhelmingly accepted the tentative agreement by a 4-to-1 margin.
"The membership was engaged in the process well before the 60 day re-opener was mailed to the employer," said Tom Bennett, Local 200 president and agent. "The work of the bargaining committee was focused and stayed the course for the membership in protecting health and welfare benefits for the regular full-time brothers and sisters, maintaining zero cost sharing."
This three-year agreement will see additional work brought into the warehouse with both the warehouse and driver units seeing growth. Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc., operates several different banner stores within the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
Great work, brothers and sisters!
