How about a union-made Super Bowl party?

Is there a more classic Super Bowl food than Buffalo Wings?

There sure is: Union-Made Buffalo Wings. Go to our friends at Labor 411 for the recipe here. The ingredients include chicken from Foster Farms or Tyson's (UFCW); Land O' Lakes butter (UAW); Frank's Red HOT sauce (UFCW); and Ken's Bleu Cheese Dressing (UFCW).

UnionPlus has a whole on-line recipe book at Pinterest. It includes a Budweiser Beer Batter recipe using Teamster-made beer. Also: union-made Enchiladas with recommendations for a union-made tequila accompaniment.

And speaking of adult beverages: Labor 411 has a complete list of union-made beer here. (The Teamsters Facebook page has a robust beer-oriented conversation going on here, btw.)

Serve up your party food and drink in Corningware Bakewire or Libbey dinnerware and glasses, made by our brothers and sisters at the United Steelworkers. Or if you're having a more casual affair with disposable plates and cups, buy Solo products made by Teamsters.

And please, do your grocery shopping in union grocery stores. Labor 411 (of course) has a list here. It includes Giant Eagle, Heinen's, Jewel, Kroger, Safeway and many more.

To get you started, Labor 411 offer this recipe for a union-made dip 7-Layer dip:

Layer in order in 12-inch square pan or casserole dish (adjust measurements to taste):

1 can refried beans (Rosarita, Old El Paso)
12 oz. guacamole (purchase at union grocery store)
8 oz. sour cream (Alta Dena, Hiland, Horizon)
½ can chopped black olives (Kroger)
2 medium tomatoes diced (Eurofresh)
Layer grated cheddar cheese to cover (Alta Dena, Hiland, Horizon, President’s Choice)
Sprinkle with minced chives (purchase at a union grocery store)
Chips: Lay’s, Fritos, Mission, Old El Paso, Ruffles, Sun

And may the best team win!
