03.09.11: Wisc. GOP breaks law to ram anti-worker law through Legislature

Two years ago today, Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca charged the majority with breaking the Open Meetings Law by ramming through the bill that stripped union members of their collective bargaining rights.
Months later, a state court judge ruled the lawmakers had broken the law. On appeal, the state Supreme Court overturned the ruling on a partisan vote and upheld the law.
