We'll remember. |
Hoosier Teamsters are already registering union members to vote. We've heard that only 40 percent of union members in Indiana are registered, which is exactly how anti-worker bills like RTW4less become law.
Local 135's political director Jeff Combs tells us the four Teamster candidates are:
- Jim Cahill, president of Local 716 in Indianapolis. He is running as a Democrat for state Senate in District 37, which is southwest of Indianapolis and includes Martinsville, Mooresville and Bergersville.
- Brad Thompson, member of Local 1070 in Lafayette, is running for state representative.
- Jerod Warnock, business agent for Local 135 in Indianapolis, is running for an open seat in South Bend as a Democrat.
- Jim Kincaid, member of Local 89 in Louisville, is running for state representative.
And a good place to start for information about the November elections is the "Against the Right to Work in Indiana" Facebook page.
