The Coal City drivers and monitors united to form their union in a collaborative effort with the International Union, Teamsters Joint Council 25 and Local 179.

There are quite a few Teamster elections coming up for Illinois Central school bus workers. They're in Wilmington on May 3, Channahon on May 9, Waukegan on May 10 and Mt. Prospect on May 11.
Illinois Central is the fifth largest private school bus company in the United States with more than 3,400 vehicles.
