Teamsters picket brings boss to table -- outdoors

Be careful what you wish for.
We saw this on Teamsters Local 728's Facebook page and just had to share it. GCC Local 527 S in Atlanta was picketing yesterday outside of Greif Bros. packaging plant in Lithonia, Ga., with support from Local 728.

You know the story: The Teamsters hadn't had a wage increase in two years, the company was trying to make them pay more for health care and they'd been in negotiations for a while.

Anyhoo, during the picket the plant manager came out of the plant and said, "I'll sit down at any table at any time."

The Teamsters just happened to have a table and chairs inside the War Horse parked nearby. So two of our brothers got the table and chairs, and they sat down right then and there to negotiate!

Thanks to Brother Jimi Richards for posting this -- it made our day!

P.S. They still don't have a TA.
