When we say 'No on 2,' we mean it |
Ohio Teamsters are working their butts off right now getting out the "No" vote on Issue 2 this Tuesday. Issue 2 is SB5, the bill passed by the Legislature to destroy government-worker unions.
If you live in Ohio, remember this: Vote No on Issue 2. A "no" vote is a vote to repeal SB5.
Al Mixon, secretary-treasurer of Local 507 in Cleveland, just told us that Teamsters are phone banking, knocking on doors and doing everything they can to push that "No on 2" ball over the finish line. Props to all our hard-working Teamster brothers and sisters in Ohio who are watching the backs of the people who watch theirs.
SB 5 is extremely unpopular in Ohio. But supporters of SB5 will do anything -- and we mean anything -- to keep SB5 alive. Keep in mind that Ohio is practically Ground Zero for electronic election theft.
Here's what we know the corporate-backed anti-worker groups have been up to:
- The not-very-honest Mike Huckabee urged anti-worker Ohioans to take the air out of the tires of SB5 opponents. (He said he was kidding. We don't believe him.)
- An anti-worker group edited a video of Marlene Quinn, who's against SB because firefighters saved her great-granddaughter's life. The big-business-backed group twisted Marlene Quinn's words to make it sound as if she supports the anti-union measure. (Isn't that just lovely -- a group backed by billionaires, Wall Street and multinational corporations beats up on a middle-class great-grandmother?)
- As we expected, the
Benedict ArnoldKoch brothers are spreading their anti-American-worker message in Ohio. Their Americans forIranianProsperity is putting a boatload of money into the anti-union campaign.
If we have one message for all you Buckeyes, it's "Vote No on Issue 2." And thank a Teamster.
