1st 'No on SB5 ad' airs (video)

Today's the day "We are Ohio" goes up with anti-SB5 ads on television. Reports the Columbus Dispatch,
We Are Ohio, the coalition formed to repeal the Republican-backed new collective bargaining laws for Ohio’s public employees, has purchased air time across the state beginning tomorrow for a commercial urging voters to reject Issue 2.
The ad buy coincides with Labor Day, which is Monday -- a natural strategy for a coalition made up in large part by public employee unions. We Are Ohio’s paid media consultant is the Washington-based New Media Firm, which lists former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland as a client.

Melissa Fazekas, a spokeswoman for We Are Ohio, confirmed the campaign’s commercial buy to The Dispatch. She said the campaign would roll out the commercial tomorrow with press conferences in seven Ohio cities, including one at the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 67 Office in Columbus.
