Bill Hamilton, president of the conference and MC of the rally, said:
We are on a mission of peace. We don't want Pennsylvania to become another Wisconsin, and we need the legislature to understand that. Pennsylvania has real problems, and nobody wins if we end up in a battle over right-to-work (for LESS).Ralliers are also hearing from Rep. Bill Keller, son of a Teamsters Local 107 member and former longshoreman, and from Rep. Pat Harkins, a former Teamster.
Earlier in the day, Hamilton and other Teamsters met with House Democratic leader Frank Dermody and got his pledge to support us in the war on workers.
