WI recall 5 days away

July 12 is Wisconsin's first recall primary.

Wisconsin voters on Tuesday will choose whether real Democrats or fake Democrats will face six real Republican state senators who voted to destroy government unions. The fake Democrats are really Republicans who want to make it tougher for Wisconsin voters to recall the six extremist senators who somehow manage to live with themselves. (Maybe they think catering to the predatory rich is a noble enterprise.) The recall election for the six Republicans is Aug. 9.

Over the next six weeks, three Democratic state senators and six Republican state senators will face recall elections. If the Democrats pick up three seats they will win control of the Senate and make it a hell of a lot harder for Koch whore Gov. Scott Walker to destroy Wisconsin's middle class.

But there's more at stake here. The Wisconsin recalls will tell us whether the middle class has a chance against the concentration of money and power that is destroying our economy, our jobs and our democracy. Another way to put it: Does the Main Street movement have momentum?

The Madison protests in February and March gave us a sense of what people can do when they get educated and mobilized. The insidious power of money (think millions in out-of-state donations to Justice David Prosser) ultimately prevailed when Walker's budget repair bill was upheld. Now, reactionary millionaires and billionaires are pouring huge amounts into their puppets' senate campaigns, and don't think they haven't hired the best spin machines money can buy.

Anyhoo, here's the latest recall news from the Badger State:
