The news media has a curious habit of disregarding any public opposition to U.S. trade policy -- or any facts showing how that trade policy is destroying our economy. It's rare to find a report of the widespread disapproval of globalization, either, even when only about a third of the country supports it.
And in the case of Mexican trucks, the news media makes no mention of the 40,000 people killed in drug wars since 2007, nor of the rampant corruption in the Mexican constabulary. Salient facts, don't you think?
But when it comes to the arrest of an NFL player in Cincinnati, the mainstream media is all over it:
