WI Dems to face recall elections

We were hoping this wouldn't happen. Wisconsin's Government Accountability Board certified the three Democratic senators for a recall election, even after acknowledging the petitions against them were rife with fraud.

Reports the Associated Press,
The board rejected thousands of signatures, but not enough to disqualify the petitions. They voted to certify recall elections for Sens. Dave Hansen of Green Bay, Jim Holperin of Conover and Bob Wirch of Pleasant Prairie.

The senators were targeted for the positions they took on Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal taking away collective bargaining rights from most state workers. Republicans pushed through the law, but the state Supreme Court is weighing an appeal.
Here's the Wisconsin Democratic Party statement:
It's clear GAB agrees that widespread election fraud tainted these petitions, and this deceit and trickery will cast a shadow over these recall elections.  The Republican candidates will have to explain to the voters their connection to this systemic fraud.  Our Democratic senators are ready and eager to compare their values and their records to any of the extremist rubberstamps the GOP will put forward.  Senators Hansen, Holperin and Wirch will be retained by the voters this summer as Democrats retake control of the state Senate in the recall elections.
