Secret tape: Kapanke hopes to overcome his own constituents

What a shame. Dan Hanky-Kapanky, the sleazy state Senator facing recall this summer, has "tons" of government workers in his district. Since Hanky-Kapanke voted to take away their collective bargaining rights, they're more than likely to vote against him in the recall election.

We know this because Hanky-Kapanke was secretly recorded in a talk to LaCrosse County Republicans. (Listen to it here.) He told them he has to "overcome" the government workers in his district.
We’ve got tons of government workers in my district - tons. From La Crosse to Prairie du Chien and to Viroqua and to Ontario and to Hillsboro, you can go on and on and on. We have to overcome that. We gotta hope that they, kind of, are sleeping on July 12th - or whenever the (election) date is."
Too bad Jesse Jackson wasn't there. He could have led them in song.
