This is really, really bad, as it takes about 150,000 jobs created to keep up with the number of people entering the workforce. But it isn't surprising that there were only 54,000 new jobs in May.
We've written quite a bit about the Governors Gone Wild and how they're cutting jobs while giving corporations big tax breaks. Just to give you a perspective, governments -- mostly state governments -- slashed 29,000 jobs last month.
Reckless cuts by these out-of-control governors and lawmakers are hitting the middle class from every direction at once. Corporate CEOs are getting new tax breaks and special deals on the backs of teachers, fire fighters, police, EMTs and hardworking families.
These politicians need to stop going after working families and start working on creating jobs.
