Ozomatli to perform at monster workers' rally in LA on Sat.

If you haven't heard, the ginormous workers' rally in L.A. on Saturday will also feature a march, actions against corporate employers, five union presidents, Grammy-winning band Ozomatli and Grammy-winning singer- songwriter Joel Rafael. Here's the announcement from Ozomatli:
Grammy award-winning Latin rock and hip-hop band, Ozomatli to show solidarity and take part in Americans’ fight for good jobs at Pershing Square on March 26!
Winner of three Grammy awards and two Billboard Latin awards, Ozomatli is dedicated to addressing social justice issues—a hallmark of Ozomatli’s work ever since the band formed in 1995 as part of labor protests in Los Angeles. “I’ve always felt that music is the key to every culture, the beginning of an understanding,” says vocalist and trumpet player Asdru Sierra. “It’s a language far more universal than politics.
“For the first time in history every president of the major labor unions in the country will be at this event. The expectation is upwards of 10,000 people and we are now closing down Hill Street. They will be playing to the labor demographics of Teamsters, SEIU-Service Employees, Janitors, and Homecare Workers."
Teamster General President Jim Hoffa, United Farmworkers President Arturo Rodriguez, UFCW President Joe Hansen, Laborers' President Terry O'Sullivan, UNITE HERE President John Wilhelm, Wisconsin Fire Fighters' President Mahlon Mitchell will speak to the crowd. Check out the flier here.
