'Remember November' (a union-made, union-themed video)

"Remember November" is an all new, all original song with lyrics and music by Hoosier native and union member Turner Corn. He's a proud member of Laborers Local 795 in New Albany, Ind. Visit his web site at: http://www.turnercorn.com/.

We posted Turner's "Union Man Dues" during the fight against right-to-work-for-less in Indiana. "Remember November" reminds us that the fight is far from over.

Buy those Easter cards from American printers

Message from the Graphic Communications Conference (GCC) of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters: Support union workers and buy American-made cards.

Not all Hallmark or American Greetings cards are made in the U.S. To make sure you're buying a domestic card, turn it over and look for “Made in the USA” printed on the back cover.
And Teamster Magazine reminds us:
If you have a need for a large order of custom-made cards, the best source for these is your local GCC-Teamster printer. You can find printers in your state that print items under a Teamster-contract by going to this website and selecting your state. A list will be provided of printing companies whose employees are covered under a Teamster contract.
The GCC represents some 60,000 members who produce such publications as The New York Times, Chicago Sun-Times, San Francisco Chronicle, New York Newsday, Elle and Cosmopolitan magazines, Harper Collins and Penguin books, brochures for Chevrolet, Harry Potter books and catalogs for L.L. Bean.

Props to the Pro-Labor Alliance for spreading the word. They have a cool Facebook page, so you may want to throw a "like" their way (and check out the Scott Walker "Wanted" poster).
