23% of US families with kids struggle to buy food. How many work at Walmart?



Here's a video of Walmart workers posting their stories on a wall. The image that struck us the hardest was the Walmart worker's nearly empty pantry shelves:


Today we read that 23 percent of American families with kids struggle to buy food. We wonder how many of them work at Walmart.

We also learned that Walmart expects 15,000 poverty-wage workers associates to arrive in Bentonville, Ark., for the company's annual meeting this week. The story indicated Walmart was flying them in.

We're wondering: Does this mean Walmart can pay millions of dollars to fly workers around the world for a publicity stunt, but won't pay them enough to let them feed themselves?
