Great recall news yesterday from the Milwaukee area. We learned that Teamster-endorsed candidate Sandy Pasch is now neck-and-neck with state Sen. Alberta Not-so-Darling, who supports
Darling must be getting worried, because she's walking back her support of premium-wine enthusiast Rep. Paul Ryan's plan to kill Medicare. Yesterday, Wisconsinites protested her support of Ryan's plan outside her office. The Fox Point-Bayside Patch reports,
As protesters marched in a circle up and down Silver Spring Drive, they chanted: "Darling, Darling, she don't care! She wants to end Medicare!"
However, Darling's campaign manager, Andrew Davis, said the protesters are interjecting a federal issue into what is a state campaign.
"This is a federal issue and this is a state Senate race, so this issue doesn't play here at all," Davis said. "Senator Darling has no opinion on the matter."The youtube video above shows otherwise.
And in Scott Walker recall news, Dane 101 reports the question is when, not if to recall him.
For months now the battle cry from those protesting at the Capitol and driving the recall efforts against Republican state senators has been to also recall Gov. Scott Walker as soon as his first year in office is up - officially the time at which signatures can begin to be collected for that goal....
(But) Democratic Party of Wisconsin chairman Mike Tate has made several statements to media laying out the organization's support of a Walker recall election in November of next year. Not everyone is happy with that plan.
