A red heart balloon that floated for months inside the Rotunda became a symbol of the Wisconsin protests. It arrived on Feb. 14, the day of the first protest, and remained aloft for four months. It generated its own Facebook page and Twitter account., It came down on June 30 when new air vents were installed and is now in the possession of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
Wisconsinites are keeping the spirit of the balloon alive, as you can see from this video from yesterday's Solidarity Singalong.
