A New Hampshire state senator received a frightening phone threat from a fellow Republican because she opposes a right-to-work bill to weaken unions.

The Manchester Union-Leader reports:
Police are keeping a watchful eye on Sen. Sharon Carson's home after the legislator received a threatening phone call about her stand on right-to-work legislation from a man who identified himself as Newmarket Republican Town Committee Chairman Joe Barton on Sunday morning.
Londonderry Police Chief William Hart said the department would be "treating this matter with utmost seriousness."
"Going forward, we will take every lawful step to ensure Sen. Carson's safety, and the unimpeded by fear or harassment expression of her opinion and judgment, as the citizens have elected her to do," Hart said in a written statement.
Carson said Barton began making threats over the phone and then said, "I know where you live, and I'm coming to get you."

The New Hampshire Senate is expected to vote on the anti-worker bill in the next two weeks. The Union-Leader further reports a group funded by the Koch brothers has been knocking on doors in Carson's neighborhood:
Carson said she's been asked by many constituents not to sponsor the legislation, though efforts made by the out-of-state special interest group National Right to Work have been canvassing her neighborhood.
Charming.
